Stained Glass Station has been in Lee’s Summit since 2004. In 2009 we moved from an old gas station to Summit Shopping Center. Creative Hite’s Stained Glass is the parent company of Stained Glass Station. Creative Hite’s Stained Glass has been in business since 1992 providing stained glass art to the business, residential, and church communities.

Our most important mission is to make the art of stained glass available to all who wish to pursue and enjoy it. In our classes students are taught the skills of stained glass and the basics of design. We focus on structure and strength as well as aesthetics so our student’s windows will remain works of art for decades to come. We are members in good standing of the AGA, SGAA, and IGGA.

The principal of Creative Hite’s Stained Glass, LLC is Rebecca B. Hite. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Central Missouri State University. She has held positions of artist, illustrator, art director, and executive administrator before discovering the passion of stained glass. The beauty of light playing through glass inspired her to pursue the vocation of stained glass.

The Hite’s strongly believe in taking continuing education courses in stained glass. In addition to attending educational events sponsored by AGA (American Glass Association), SGAA (Stained Glass Association of America), RAGS (Retailers of Art Glass and Supplies Association), Art Glass Expo and other stained glass outlets, the Hite’s regularly travel to study under many experts in the stained glass field. Renowned among them is installation specialist and stained glass restorer, Art Femenella; Tiffany expert, Joe Porcelli; designers Peter McGrain and Kay Bain Wiener; Fusing Experts Brad Walker, Lisa Vogt, and Patty Gray; and Working Large specialist, Bill Klopsch. Both Rebecca and Curtis Hite have studied the art of Sandblasting with renowned artist Butch Young. Continuing education is important for the artist and for the students and clients they serve. The Hite’s continually add to their knowledge in order to become as well-versed in their craft as they possibly can, therefore bringing the understanding and experience necessary to build strong, well-designed, meaningful art into others’ lives as well as pass this knowledge on to others.
